Eric M Snyder, Ph.D., FAHA

Research Scientist, Health Science

“I am excited to explore the tangible human physiological ‘take-aways’, and how they relate to health and disease, in differing conditions of the indoor environment”.

Dr. Snyder utilizes his background to study the human physiological response to the indoor environment within the Well Living Lab. Eric Received his Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota and completed pre- and post-doctoral fellowships in Cardiovascular Diseases at the Mayo Clinic and a second post-doctoral fellowship in Nephrology and Hypertension, also at Mayo Clinic. Eric worked as an assistant and then associate professor at the University of Arizona and the University of Minnesota with a focus on cardiopulmonary physiology. Specifically, the majority of Eric’s work has been on how genes and the environment influence health and disease, particularly in hypertension, heart failure, asthma, and cystic fibrosis. Dr. Snyder’s work has been funded primarily by the NIH and American Heart Association and he has published more than 100 peer-reviewed papers. He has had more than 150 presentations and national and international scientific meetings.
