Well Living Lab COVID-19 program featured in “EpiCH” University of Minnesota Seminar

On November 13, 2020, the Well Living Lab’s COVID-19 & Beyond: Safe Indoor Environment research program was featured in a weekly seminar series for the University of Minnesota’s Division of Epidemiology and Community Health, also called “EpiCH.”

Focused on three interrelated aims - air, surface, and behavior - the Well Living Lab’s COVID-19 & Beyond: Safe Indoor Environment program brings together a multi-disciplinary team of experts from the Well Living Lab, the University of Minnesota, and Mayo Clinic to address the transmission of the SARS-CoV-2 virus.

“The impact of COVID-19 on every aspect of our lives has necessitated urgent, rigorous research on infection control strategies by reducing transmission of SARS-CoV-2, the virus causing COVID-19,” said Dr. Zachary Pope, Well Living Lab Research Scientist, Human Physiology and Behavior. “By collaborating with leaders in aerosol science, infectious diseases, and epidemiology, among others, we have been able to progress quickly on best-in-class science to reduce SARS-CoV-2 transmission via air, surface, and behavior, with findings important for the current pandemic as well as seasonal respiratory illnesses, such as influenza.”
